Stitchy Saturday

Each Saturday, I will feature either something I’m currently stitching, something I’ve just finished stitching, or something I’ve just designed. I hope you’ll all join me in displaying some of your own work and leaving a link to your post in the comments below.

I have a whole host of festive designs at my Kincavel Krosses blog for all my stitching friends whose needles are flying in anticipation of Christmas. I also have non-festive ones for those who fancy something a bit different. Take a look and see…

Festive Designs:
Nativity Dolls
(1st December)
Stitch as ornaments, patch onto cards, or make little dolls or finger puppets for the kids. A versatile little trio available only from my Folksy store – these take no time at all to stitch (and yes, there are reverse sides to the designs too!).

Hearts and Swirls Biscornu
(5th December)
Stitch as a biscornu (or a little pillow ornament) in festive shades for your tree, or choose colours to suit your decor for a gift any time of the year.

Noel Stained Glass Window
(8th December)
Just the right size for a last-minute card, this festive window is a design you can stitch and re-stitch quickly in a variety of colour combinations to make each card unique. Try jewel shades or even metallic threads for extra sparkle.

Quaker Christmas Ornament
(10th December)
Charted for red, but would look great stitched in ice blue, or in white on a dark fabric. Stitch in whatever colour takes your fancy, add beads for extra bling – the choices are endless!

Bad Or Good?
(12th December)
This little subversive sampler is perfect for those who need reminding to be on their best behaviour before Santa gets here!

Assisi Stocking
(13th December)
A little Assisi stocking to stitch in a single colour in the Quaker style. I’ve stitched it in a variegated floss to match my tree decorations.

Gifts For You
(15th December)
Another miniature design that will fit on cards easily and can be stitched in any set of colours. This one’s a great stash buster for using up all those little odds and ends of colours left over from other projects…

ChrisTmas Wishes
(16th December)
A cross and stars feature as part of this simple design for cards or a miniature sampler to remind people of the reason for the season.

Assisi Circle
(17th December)
A little Assisi circle to stitch in a single colour in the Quaker style. I’ve stitched it in a variegated floss to match my tree decorations.

Assisi Oval
(18th December)
A little Assisi oval to stitch in a single colour in the Quaker style. Stitch to match your tree decorations.

Red and Green Biscornu
(19th December)
Stitch in the charted colours for a festive tree decoration, or ni any colour you please for a gift any time of the year.

Christmas Square
(20th December)
A small geometric square design which would make a lovely decoration for any tree. Charted in festive red, but stitch in any colour to match your tree decorations.

Green Diamond
(21st December)
A last-minute decoration to commemorate 2011. Stitch in any colour you please or add beads for extra sparkle.

Non-Festive Designs:
Follow Your Heart
(24th December)
An inspirational message for those you love – a reminder to keep in touch with what you really want and not let go of your dreams.

Believe
(26th December)
This little sampler is a great reminder and would make a wonderful gift for the new year. Start fresh in 2012 with this quick stitch.

2012 Band Sampler
(1st January)
After the success of last year’s 2011 Band Sampler, I decided to make it an annual thing with a new design each year that is in keeping with the previous ones – an annual series, if you will. This year’s charted colours are two shades of turquoise, but it would look great in any number of colour combinations.
