Hosted by Booking Through Thursday
Do you multi-task when you read? Do other things like stirring things on the stove, brushing your teeth, watching television, knitting, walking, et cetera?
Or is it just me, and you sit and do nothing but focus on what you’re reading?
(Or, if you do both, why, when, and which do you prefer?)
Yes, I do multi-task when reading! usually, the full extent is to be stirring something on the stove while reading if I’m going to be stirring for a while. Sometimes I’ll read while Dale (my hubby) is watching TV and I’ll look up occasionally, or sometimes I’ll listen to some music while I turn the pages. I always have a book with me when I go out and about (which ever book it is, is known as my “Bag Book”) and read while I’m waiting for the bus or for an appointment. I also love to read in the bath, but i seldom get time to do that these days.
I used to listen to audio books on my iPod whilst walking to and from work each day, but as I’m no longer working full-time and get a lift to my evening job, I don’t really have the time I used to for listening to books any more.
I also love to sit and do nothing but read, but this usually happens in bed right before I go to sleep.
To be honest, I love both – if I didn’t multi-task, I wouldn’t have even half as much time to read, and without reading in bed, I’d take forever to drop off to sleep, so both are good for me.
